Focus and scope
Telverique Nursing (Telverique Nurs.) is a biannual peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to advancing nursing science, clinical nursing practice, nursing education, healthcare leadership and evidence-based patient care. Scope includes clinical nursing; nursing education; community and public health nursing; mental health and psychiatric nursing; maternal and child health nursing; critical care and emergency nursing; medical-surgical nursing; nursing leadership and management; evidence-based nursing practice; patient safety and quality of care; digital health and nursing technology; nursing workforce and professional development; healthcare policy relevant to nursing; global and cross-cultural nursing; and advanced nursing practice. The journal welcomes original research, systematic and scoping reviews, qualitative and mixed-methods studies, brief reports, perspectives, methodological papers and other scientifically relevant contributions.
Peer review policy
Telverique Nurs. operates a strict double-blind peer review model. Authors must remove identifying information, and self-citations should be phrased in the third person where necessary. Submissions passing the initial editorial check — for scope, formatting, ethics and anonymity — are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers, who assess originality, methodology, clarity, ethics and contribution, and recommend Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision or Reject. Where recommendations diverge, a third reviewer is invited. Decisions are usually issued within 3–5 weeks, and the Editor-in-Chief or assigned Associate Editor makes the final decision. Reviewers must treat all materials as confidential before, during and after review.
Review timeline
Each manuscript receives an initial editorial assessment within 7 days. Reviewers are typically given 14 days to submit their evaluation, with reminders sent by the editorial office where needed. Authors are granted 2 weeks to return a revised version addressing all comments (1–3 months for major revisions). Accepted articles are acknowledged formally and scheduled for the next available issue.
Publication frequency
Telverique Nurs. publishes two issues per year: Issue 1 (June) and Issue 2 (December). Accepted articles first appear online in an "Articles in Press" section before formal assignment to an issue. Each published article receives a persistent identifier and is indexed as indexing coverage is established.
Open access, copyright and licensing
Telverique Nurs. provides immediate open access to all published content under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), allowing free use, distribution and reproduction with proper citation. Authors retain copyright of their work and grant the journal first publication rights, and are encouraged to deposit final articles in institutional or subject repositories.
Article processing charges (APC)
Telverique Nurs. does not charge any fees at any stage of the publication process. There are no submission fees, article processing charges, editorial processing charges, page charges or publication fees. All accepted manuscripts are published fully open access at no cost to authors, ensuring equitable dissemination of research and supporting authors worldwide without financial barriers.
Publication ethics and malpractice statement
The publication ethics policy of Telverique Nurs. is guided by COPE and reflects the standards upheld by the editorial board, with further guidance from ICMJE and WAME. The publisher ensures editorial independence from commercial or political influence and safeguards the academic record. Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, maintain confidentiality, disclose conflicts of interest and act on suspected ethical violations. Reviewers provide fair, timely, confidential feedback and declare conflicts. Authors submit original work, acknowledge sources and funding, ensure all listed authors meet authorship criteria, and promptly correct or retract work where errors are identified.
Allegations of misconduct
Telverique Nurs. defines research misconduct as including mistreatment of research subjects, data fabrication or falsification, plagiarism and unethical authorship practices, and follows COPE flowcharts for investigating allegations raised before or after publication. The editor first contacts the corresponding author for clarification; if the response is inadequate, the case may be referred to an ethics panel. Responses range from manuscript rejection and author blacklisting for a fixed period to editorial board removal, institutional notification, and published corrections or retractions.
Plagiarism and similarity screening
All submissions are screened with iThenticate plagiarism detection software. Telverique Nurs. allows a maximum similarity threshold of 20%, excluding references and standard phrasing. Submissions exceeding this limit without clear attribution are returned for revision or rejected depending on extent and context. Self-plagiarism — reuse of one's own previously published work without citation — is treated as a serious ethical violation, while minor similarities from references, methodology or common phrases are evaluated case by case.
Conflict of interest disclosure
All authors must disclose actual or potential conflicts — financial support or funding, employment or consultancy roles, patents, royalties or personal investments, and personal, institutional or ideological affiliations. A dedicated Conflict of Interest statement must appear before the references. Where none exist, authors should state: "The authors declare no conflicts of interest." The corresponding author is responsible for collecting disclosures from all co-authors.
Research involving humans or animals
Human studies require a statement confirming ethical approval from a recognised institutional review board, including the reference number, and must comply with the Declaration of Helsinki. Animal studies must confirm compliance with national and institutional welfare guidelines. Informed consent must be obtained from all individuals whose identifiable data — photographs, quotes or clinical information — are included, and consent for publication is required where anonymity cannot be guaranteed.
Research standards and data availability
Telverique Nurs. endorses the EQUATOR Network for transparent, reproducible reporting: CONSORT for randomised trials, STROBE for observational studies, PRISMA and PRISMA-P for reviews and protocols, SPIRIT for protocols, STREGA for genetic association studies, SRQR for qualitative research, STARD for diagnostic accuracy, AGREE for guidelines, ARRIVE for animal research, MOOSE for meta-analyses of observational studies, CHEERS for economic evaluations and TRIPOD for prediction models. Every manuscript must include a data availability statement specifying where underlying data can be accessed — in the article, supplementary files or a repository such as Zenodo or Dryad — with clear justification where sharing is restricted.
Post-publication corrections and retractions
Minor errors are addressed as corrigenda; major scientific issues or ethical breaches lead to retractions, and unresolved concerns may prompt an expression of concern. All updates include a timestamp, link to the original article and remain publicly accessible for transparency. Readers may report post-publication issues via the contact page or editorial email.
Withdrawal and retraction requests
Authors may withdraw a submission before completion of peer review by submitting a written request. Published papers may be retracted, corrected or updated in accordance with COPE retraction guidelines, and all retraction notices remain publicly accessible.
Appeals and complaints
The corresponding author may appeal an editorial decision or raise a complaint about publication ethics or the editorial process, including undue delays, miscommunication or procedural inconsistencies. Appeals must be reasoned and supported by evidence. The Editor-in-Chief reviews all appeals first, followed by the handling editor assigned to the manuscript. Appeals and complaints are handled impartially and as promptly as possible — write to info@telverique.com.
Archiving and preservation
Telverique Nurs. ensures long-term preservation through LOCKSS-compliant archiving, redundant digital backups of all published content, and full-text articles and metadata stored permanently on the journal website.
Advertising policy
Telverique Nursing does not endorse or promote any product, service or organisation featured in advertisements or sponsorships. Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial or financial relationships, advertisers or sponsors, and the editorial board retains full control over published content. Telverique Nurs. does not accept advertising articles or promotional submissions under any circumstances, whether paid or unpaid.
